Question: What does “White Glove” delivery include?
Answer: Beware of “Free Delivery” from companies who advertise on the internet. Files, desks and tables are large heavy items that ship on a freight truck where the driver is only required to get the items to the back of the truck where you are responsible to unload from there. Without a forklift or loading dock this is a very difficult and possibly dangerous way to receive heavy office furniture. Also you are responsible for noting damages that can be seen and deal with the freight company for a replacement or credit. Then of course the items will need to be unboxed and taken into the office where you will be responsible to assemble the furniture. It is not uncommon for the packaging of three pieces to fill up an 8 yard dumpster in packaging along. Time you add up all these risk and expenses “free delivery” does not mean very much.
With our “White Glove” delivery we receive your items at one of our receiving warehouses, un-box the items checking for damage, assemble where required and bring the furniture to your office leaving your furniture ready for you to use! Some limitations do apply with additional charges for rural deliveries, unusual upstairs delivery, or delivery of very heavy items that require special delivery requirements or if you are outside our delivery area where the item would ship truck. We will let you know when we confirm your order if charges will apply so you can decide from there. Some items marked “UPS will ship directly to you prepaid and may require minor assembly before use.
All that said if you find a better price from an online or local company call us and we will match the price and service level they provide!
Question: Why do you have to charge sales tax while other online companies do not?
Answer: The short answer is they are supposed to according to current law. We are an Alabama based company and by law required to charge sales tax to anyone not tax exempt. Obviously when purchasing an expensive item sales tax adds a good bit to the price. It cost us time and money to pay in the sales tax to all of our serving area communities so we are not happy about it either but the only people who can change that is our elected officials.
Question: What if I want to return an item?
Answer: Returns on large items are very expensive and we want to do all we can to be sure you are getting what you expect and will be happy to come visit you to discuss your needs with no obligation or charge. If you have a defective item we will be happy to work with the manufacturer on your behalf to correct the problem. If you need to return an item it must be in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Return freight charges to the manufacturer and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount. No returns after 30 days. Please call us if you have questions.
Question: I need my items faster, what can you do?
Answer: The normal lead times we have listed are the longest it takes for us to get items out. Certainly on chairs and UPS items for additional charge we can expedite the shipping. Other items we can get faster from regional wholesalers, but since they also mark up the items it will cost more but we will be happy to work with you, just call us.
Question: I don’t see what I want, is this all you have?
Answer: Our site features only the most popular items available to us, there are literally thousands of other items, sizes, finishes and colors to choose from. Call us for any needs not filled by our site.
